For US customs brokers and trade advisories
Manifest Scout reads public US Customs shipping records, finds the companies hit hardest by the metal tariffs, and books a call between their finance lead and your firm. We are not a customs broker. We find the companies. You do the customs.

How it works
Three steps. The first two happen on our side. You approve the list before the third.
We pull two years of US Customs ocean manifests for the metals that now carry a 50% duty, and compare each importer's volume before and after the change.
We strip out freight forwarders, banks, the US arms of foreign mills and companies with their own trade teams. A person checks every company that is left.
We email the finance lead on your behalf, number first, your firm named. A second opinion alongside their current broker, never a switch.
For brokers and advisories
Most good brokerages grew on referrals. Referrals cannot be aimed. This can.
Method and limits
You have read more entries than we ever will. So here are the limits, up front.
US Customs vessel manifests, public under 19 CFR 103.31. Sea freight only. Air, rail and truck from Canada and Mexico are not covered, and importers who requested manifest confidentiality do not appear.
Each importer's own shipping weight in two twelve-month periods, multiplied by the published change in rate. The price of the goods cancels out, so this part needs no estimate.
Customs value is not on a manifest. Where we give a dollar range, it uses average declared values per tariff heading and origin from official trade statistics. Always an estimate, always a range.
Checked against the Federal Register. Steel went from 25% to 50% on 4 June 2025. Aluminium went from 10% to 25% on 12 March 2025, then to 50%. Origins that were exempt or under quota before March 2025 saw a larger jump.
The counter at the top is gross customs duties from the US Treasury's Monthly Treasury Statement, fiscal years ending 30 September.
If we emailed you
We write on behalf of a licensed US customs broker or trade advisory, and every message names that firm. We use public shipping records and public business contact details, nothing else.
The offer is always the same: a short call to check whether every dollar of your duty bill is legally owed, alongside your current broker. You do not need to change anything to take it, and you are under no obligation to take it at all.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Using it stops all mail from us, for every firm we work with. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to privacy@manifestscout.com.
A fifteen-minute call. No charge, and no obligation.
